"David Maxted is an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer with over a decade of experience. In over 35 trials and numerous appeals, he has won at every level, from state court trials, to federal court, to the Tenth Circuit, to the Colorado Supreme Court. Dave has handled high-stakes wrongful death and civil rights lawsuits, dozens of high-profile murder cases, death penalty cases, as well as less-serious matters in state and municipal courts. No case is too big or too small.
Dave is originally from Durango, Colorado. After law school at Duke, he worked for 8 years at the Public Defender Service for D.C., one of the top trial lawyer training grounds in the nation. On return to his home state, Dave joined one of the premier litigation firms in the region, Haddon, Morgan and Foreman, P.C. In 2020, Dave launched Maxted Law LLC, an innovative social justice law firm focused on civil rights and criminal litigation."
