“Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and attorney at McDivitt Law Firm, David McDivitt represents clients in personal injury cases. A member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, he was also named one of the Top 10 in Colorado by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys. In 2010, he was given the Membership Volunteer of the Year Award by the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, and he is a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40.
Admitted to practice in the state of Colorado, Mr. McDivitt is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. He is a member of the El Paso County Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.
As a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, he serves as Co-Chair on the Eagle Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. Mr. McDivitt has also given expert testimony before the Colorado State Senate and House Judiciary Committees and spent several years as a Deputy Public Defender in the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender.
After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts, Mr. McDivitt also studied at Paris-Sorbonne University and at Washington and Lee University. He finally attended law school at the University of Colorado Law School, where he was an editor for the University of Colorado Law Review and earned his Juris Doctor.
